WHAT IS DEEKSHA OR ONENESS BLESSING :
Deeksha, or Diksha in Sanskrit, means benediction. It is a divine energy phenomenon which over a short period of time gives you the experience of your own tradition or faith and leads to eventual Awakening, Oneness or Enlightenment. Deeksha initiates a neurobiological change in the brain that when completed enables the senses to be free from the interference of the mind, THE FLOWERING OF THE HEART. When the senses are unclouded by the mind's interpretations, a natural clarity of perception occurs with accompanying spontaneous feelings of joy, inner calmness and connection to the Oneness in everything.
SRI AMMA AND SRI BHAGAVAN
Sri Amma and Sri Bhagavan are the founders of the Oneness University near Chennai, South India where people from all over the world are initiated to transmit Deeksha. In the Hindu tradition it is said that in times of great need, Avatars come to earth to help mankind. An avatar is an embodiment of universal energy, and knows from birth what their mission in life is. Amma and Bhagwan are avatars for enlightenment. They came to earth with the special gift of Deeksha for mass enlightenment. In some old traditions spiritual masters have been able to transmit enlightenment to one, or rarely a few, disciples but mass enlightenment has not been done.
Mankind has never before been so ugly to the planet and to one another, never has been so violent and destructive.
There is not enough time for just a few people to awaken, a mass awakening is necessary to change the course the planet is on. Deeksha has a track record that can be researched and medical science has proven and documented the effects of this phenomena. Being in the presence of Sri Amma or Sri Bhagavan showers you with the experience of this energy phenomena - their enlightenment is contagious.

The movement is not a new teaching, but an experience, not a new religion, not a new centre or ashram to belong to, not a new master to be a disciple of. Everyone is welcome, from all faiths, all religions and all back grounds. All our sadhanas have been done. Now is the time to allow Grace to shower upon us.
THE ONENESS UNIVERSITY
Established in 1996 by Sri Amma and Sri Bhagwan, it is said to be for just one purpose : to set man totally and unconditionally free, bringing about the golden Age of Enlightenment. Bhagwan says, "this university exists to help you become enlightened, to help you become God realized, to help you become a real human being." It is a university where people from all over the world all year long come to undergo a process of 21 days, at the end of which they are initiated to transmit the gift of deeksha to others back home ( Only the Oneness University in India can initiate students ) This 21 day process is the beginning of the journey to awakening. As we are all unique, our process is unique and our experiences are unique.
Amma and Bhagwan are surrounded by beautiful young people called dasas or monks. They are your guides during the process. These young people have been disciples of Amma and Bhagwan for many years and are all living in very high states of consciousness. Their only goal in life is to awaken mankind to a state of Oneness and they are working at helping mankind day and night. They continuously support and guide you very lovingly throughout the 21 day process. They stay in contact with you when you are back home, and pray for you every day. To be with them creates a vision of how the world could be when mankind wakes up from the illusion of separation. You experience how it feels to be living without judgements or hierarchy, how it feels to live in causeless joy and in unconditional love.
This 21 day process at the Golden City is indeed the most amazing gift in the spiritual world at this point in time. The Golden Age Movement is the largest and fastest growing movement on the planet simply because of the results of deeksha. Being immersed in the dharma and supported by the dasas each day makes the three week journey almost effortless. You experience many ancient ceremonies and rituals and have darshans with Amma and with Bhagavan several times. After the 21 days you leave experiencing a new level of joy and aliveness and feel free from all the unnecessary suffering the mind has always caused.
